Shamanic song is not the songs we hear in our ordinary reality lives, but the songs that connect us with that which is bigger than ourselves. When sung with an open heart and a clear intent, shamanic songs open the gateway between the worlds and enable us to be the walker between them. By working in this way we can bring help, healing and blessings for ourselves and others from the spirit world and manifest their gifts in this reality.

Shamanic song comes not from ourselves but from our spirits. We are the vessel that delivers the song, the hollow bone through which they flow. The songs that come may be simple but when we trust and allow the song to sing us the power flows through. When the song touches us or others we are changed and magic can happen. Song brings us into a different relationship with emotional, spiritual and physical issues both as the singer and as the receiver.

During this course we will develop our ability to use shamanic song. We will work with the powerful ancient tradition that uses the song and the staff known as seidr. We will journey on and with song allowing it to take us deeper into our shamanic practice while developing the focus and discipline that underlines all shamanic work.

Our ancestors used song to build and maintain balance within community and the world around them. During our time together will find out how we can bring song into our lives to help us develop and maintain our own connection to the world and our own communities.

Please note that prerequisites of the course do not include being able to sing! Shamanic song is not about performance, but power - any noise can become song when it comes from spirit. However completion of a basic course and a good relationship with at least one spirit helper is essential.
